Rollout Program

DSW Rollout Program

A long-running retail rollout relationship beginning in 2007 and lasting roughly ten years, with approximately 60+ DSW stores completed as part of the program.

Program Overview

A long-running retail rollout relationship beginning in 2007 and lasting roughly ten years, with approximately 60+ DSW stores completed from Connecticut to Florida.

DSW stores are large-format retail — typically 15,000–25,000 SF warehouse-style spaces. The scope is relatively straightforward compared to smaller specialty retail, but the scale and consistency requirements across dozens of locations make it rollout-grade work.

A F Alber's rollout work is built around schedule consistency, prototype discipline, permitting coordination across jurisdictions, and repeatable execution for brand teams and construction managers.

How This Client Came to A F Alber

James Madden — the same Jim Madden who reconnected with Anthony Alber and brought A F Alber into the Electronics Boutique program — moved from his Vice President role at EB Games to DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse as a Senior Project Manager. He brought A F Alber with him.

The program ran for roughly ten years beginning in 2007, with 60+ DSW stores completed across the East Coast. Jim Madden has since retired from the industry but remains a close friend of the family.

This is another example of how A F Alber's longest client relationships are built on trust that follows individuals from one brand to the next.
