A F Alber General Contractor is a second-generation commercial GC, founded in 1987. We build retail stores and restaurants for national brands: Five Below, DSW, Zumiez, honeygrow, Miracle-Ear and more. Over 1,000 locations in 20+ states.
We're a small company. No layers, no committee. You report directly to John Alber, who runs the company. When you need a decision, you get one the same day.
You run the build from mobilization to turnover, inside an existing space: a mall, a strip center, a stand-alone box. Projects typically run 4 to 12 weeks.
We hire a local superintendent for a store whenever we can find one. If you live within about an hour of a project, you sleep in your own bed.
When a job is farther from home, we cover lodging, a per diem and your travel. The weekly pay is the same either way.
Between projects you're free. Some supers go job to job; others take a few weeks off. We work with both.
You've done this before: commercial interiors as a superintendent for a general contractor. Retail or restaurant fit-outs are ideal. Tenant improvements and other commercial interiors count too.
$2,000 per week.
The rate is $2,000 a week, local or traveling, paid weekly. Supers who deliver (schedule met, client happy, clean closeout) are the first we call for the next project, and the ones our clients ask for by name.
When a project is away from home: lodging, a per diem for meals, and travel are covered on top of your pay.
